Lyric Masked Tint
Masked Tint
The Lyric Masked Tint filter applies a color tint to the clip. It can be used in conjunction with matte filters and other alpha-channel sources to allow its effect to be masked to certain areas within the clip.
The above example shows a graduated tint with a warming color to intensify the sunset. The effect mask is derived from two Lyric matte effects, a Gradient Matte, to produce the gradual tint on the background and sky, and a Highlights Matte which was added to the gradient matte, so that the reflections of the sky in the water highlights would also be correctly tinted.
The Masked Tint filter includes a set of effect controls that are common across all Lyric effect filters. For a detailed description of these controls, please see the Common Effect Controls documentation.
For background information on mattes and masks and their uses in Final Cut, please refer to the Lyric Matte Primer.
The Tint dropdown menu selects between one of several preset tint colors or the color specified in the Custom Color control.

Tint Density controls the level of tinting applied.
The Effect Controls section is a set of common controls that are documented on the Common Effect Controls page. They can be used to achieve masked and other specialized filter effects.
